There’s something beautiful about the moment after the rain when the sky finally begins to clear. The landscape is still misty and grey, but just as the sun is about to set, a warm glow starts to break through. You know it won’t last long, which makes you want to stop and take it all in.
The Waiting Hour was inspired by that quiet space between the storm and the clearing. That feeling of waiting, not quite knowing what’s ahead, and then suddenly catching a glimpse of light.
I painted this piece as a reminder that even when things feel uncertain or unclear, there can be something beautiful waiting on the other side. Sometimes you just have to give it time.
