Magic Hour is such a fleeting moment each day, lasting only a short while before the light begins to disappear. Maybe that’s what makes it feel so special. You know it won’t last, so it almost forces you to stop what you’re doing and take it all in.
I love the way everything seems to soften during this time. The sky warms, the water catches the last of the light, and for those few minutes, even an ordinary evening can feel beautiful.
I painted Magic Hour as a reminder to pause for the moments that don’t last. To notice them while they’re here, breathe them in, and let everything else wait for just a little while.
